My name was # 3…that’s it……just #3. I was so scared without my friends. As foster homes came along, I lost one friend after another and had NEVER been alone in my life. It was terrifying. I sat in the corner of the kennel depressed for weeks. I hoped my dark brown color made me invisible. The kennel staff would come in my pen and lie down, trying to get me to approach them. They were so sweet. I eventually even began to like them. Even though I was first to be named Trinity, problems with my cherry eyes caused me to continue to stay at the kennel. I had the cherry eyes for a long, long time, as a breeder, because they didn’t affect the breeding, so it made it extremely difficult for the poor vets to straighten out. I hated being by myself and was so relieved to be adopted. Shyness can be a real disability in the wrong situation.
