My name is Stella and I spent my whole life in a cage, breeding one litter of puppies after another. When I was too old to have anymore puppies, I was taken to a shelter and was supposed to be "put down" because I was sick. Fortunately for me, a man from CSAC was at the shelter rescuing another cocker spaniel that day and the shelter workers showed me to him
and he said "yep, I'll take her, too!" What a lucky day for me! He is the one who gave me the name Stella because I never had a name before. I went to the vet hospital where they had to perform emergency surgery on me because my womb was ruptured and infected. My white blood count was so high the doctor told the man he didn't think I would make it. But then the doctor didn't know what I fighter I am. I not only made it through the surgery, but I got better and better, and I was adopted! And you know the best part? I'm finally beginning to enjoy life now! I really wish I could help repay all those medical bills, but I could use your help. Anything you could give would be a blessing.
