Hi, I'm Lucy, and I'm one lucky girl. My family decided my sister and I were too much trouble to take care of, so they threw us away. But the Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center was there to take us in, and now we live with a terrific family who loves and takes care of us. My right eye was swollen and hurting me a lot, so CSAC took me to the doctor. The doctor said I have
glaucoma and they tried special eye drops to see if the pressure could be brought down in my eye. But it didn't work and the pain got worse. Finally, it was decided I would be more comfortable if the eye was removed. Since I couldn't see out of that eye anyway, and since I would be more comfortable, I didn't mind at all. It's been less than a week since the surgery,
but I feel so much better! Just to be pain-free is like a miracle. Now I'm hoping you'll help me with another miracle...to help me pay back the money so that if there is another little cocker boy or girl in pain like I was, there will be money available for their surgery. We can't do it without sponsors like you!
