I don’t know
why I had to leave my Mom, but she held my head gently in her shaking hands
and told me she had to go away to a nursing home and couldn’t take me.
Her tears fell on my nose as she kissed me good-bye and I thought my life
was surely over. It would have been, even when my broken heart healed,
if the nice people at the Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center didn’t step in
and see that I still had some good years left to give love and joy to another
family. I am waiting for my new “forever” family to find me, so I am staying
with a nice foster family until then. Unfortunately I got sick and had
to be rushed to the emergency room. I had to spend a week in Intensive
Care, where I’m told it was “touch and go” for awhile, but I’m much better
now, although I have a stone in my bladder that needs to be removed. I
know I have cost CSAC a whole lot of money so far, and I really feel badly
about it, especially since I know the surgery I still need will cost them
even more. I really am a good dog who just wants a family to love and protect
and call my own. If you can make a donation, regardless of how small or
large, it will help me and other dogs who need medical care. Thank you
so much!
