Beverly Sills

My name is Beverly Sills, and I will admit I’m still getting used to having a name since I had been nameless all of my life.  I came from a puppy mill in Pennsylvania with six other dogs, most of whom also need your help.  Before the CSAC came to save me, I spent my entire life in a cage and had litter after litter of puppies while my health was deteriorating.  The CSAC volunteers paid to have a large benign tumor removed from my ear flap, repair my cherry-eye problems, have several rotten teeth pulled and then had the vet give me a complete dental cleaning. I also had an upper respiratory infection that kept me in the hospital for over a month. No wonder my vet bills are so high!

But as long as I had healthy puppies, my owner did not care what happened to me.  I did not know the scent of fresh air or the feel of sunlight on my face.  It was a truly horrific existence, but now I am free and living with a nice man who loves me and takes very good care of me.  I am very grateful to the nice people at CSAC for giving me a new lease on life when I have given up all hope. Can you help me repay some of my veterinary costs so there will be money available for other abused or neglected Cocker Spaniels who need a lot of medical care? I will be ever so grateful!
